Siri, the Apple’s voice-activated intelligent assistant, lives in your iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and even your HomePod. Its voice has become so recognizable that some to think about recording Siri voice.

It works, whether on iPhone or Mac. What truly matters is how you want to activate Siri - via the Spoken Content feature (for Text to Speech) or via Ask Siri (for conversation and get info). These two features can call up Siri and make Siri voice recording possible.

When using Spoken Content to play Siri voice, the audio originates from the iPhone system. Thus, to get a high-quality Siri audio recording, you should use a tool that can capture iPhone's playback sounds - the iPhone built-in screen recorder will be the optimal solution.

How to use iPhone screen recorder to record Siri voice.

Step 1. Enable Spoken Content.

Go to Settings > Accessibility > Spoken Content > turn on Speak Selection (to have selected text read aloud) and Speak Screen (to have the entire screen read aloud).

Step 2. Select Siri as the Voice Reading.

Tap Voices > English > Siri > tap the cloud icon to download the voice.

Step 3. Type Any Text in Notes and Select.

Step 4. Tap Speak.

Test if text-to-speech works well with Siri's voice.

Step 5. Open Control Center and Tap Screen Recording.

Swipe down from the top-right corner of your screen. Then, tap the round dot icon.

Step 6. Play the Reading in Notes Again for Recording.

Why not use Voice Memos to record Siri?
Seeing many use Voice Memos to record Siri voice; however, the tool is primarily for microphone sound capture. If you use it to record Siri voice (system audio), you will get a recording with noticeable background noise.

Record Siri Voice During a Conversation

To record both Siri and your questions, still, you can use the native screen recorder. Steps are similar.

Step 1. Call up Siri on your iPhone.

Step 2. Go to the Control Center and long press the Screen Recording button.

Step 3. Turn on the microhphone.

Step 4. Tap Start Recording.

Step 5. Chat with Siri and you're now recording the conversation.

Some third-party screen recorder apps claim that they can do so. But, due to the restriction of Apple, the capture of internal audio and microphone may not work. Instead of using a third-party app, you can try an external digital recorder device.

How to Record Siri Voice on Mac?

Quite similar with iPhone. You can use Spoken Content and chat with Siri to record the voice on Mac. After you have call up Siri, you can use QuickTime Player (the native tool) or Kingshiper Screen Recorder for Mac to help recording.

Record Siri Voice with QuickTime Player

Said in advanced, QuickTime Player cannot natively record system (internal) audio by itself. It only records audio from microphones or external inputs. You need to use third-party audio routing software to capture internal audio.

Step 1. Install an audio routing tool such as BlackHole.

Step 2. Set up the Mac’s sound output.

Step 3. Open QuickTime Player > File > New Screen Recording.

Step 4. Drop down the option menu > Microphone > select BlackHole as the as the audio source.
